Will became interested in personal financial readiness after he read Dave Ramsey’s, “The Total Money Makeover.” He started his career as a “captive employee” and didn’t like the salesy culture of the firm, so he decided to go independent.
Will served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1993-2014 where he was an M1A1 Main Battle Tank crewman, a U.S. Embassy security guard, and a Chemical and Biological Defense Officer. He did five combat rotations in the middle east and retired from active service in 2014.
Will is married to his high-school sweetheart, Angie, and they live in Greenwood, IN (Center Grove), where Angela is a high-school teacher. They have four children. The oldest is a U.S. Navy Corpsman and is attending college at IUPUI, the next oldest recently graduated high school as a Cosmetologist, and is now attending college at Ivy Tech. The younger two children are attending middle- school where one is interested in athletics (running), and the other is interested in S.T.E.M.
For recreation, Will likes to fix broken things, but strangely not his own. Figuring out what’s wrong with someone’s car, washing machine, or WiFi, and making it work again is a badge of honor for Will. He enjoys fishing with his children and beaches with crashing ocean waves. These are his happy places. He also enjoys audiobooks and podcasts on self-improvement.
