Jonathan began working with Ed Kirkland & Company in 2008 and became Managing Partner of Kirkland & King Financial, LLC in July of 2019. Since that time, he has brought a renewed passion to our firm in helping our clients achieve their financial goals. Jonathan prides himself on his client-centric approach to planning as well as asset management and portfolio construction. By surrounding himself with very able and supportive team members, he facilitates the overall workings of each different team member’s specialties to help arrive at a place which addresses our client’s entire financial well-being.

Jonathan brings a wealth of real business experience to our firm. He spent 8+ years in movie theater management and in September of 2011, he opened his first GNC Franchise. Since then, he has operated 3 additional stores at different times around the Columbia area.

Jonathan graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He is an avid USC football fan and enjoys going to the games whenever possible.
