Carl founded Bass Financial in 1984 to provide objective, fee-based financial advice. He specializes in planning and asset management for individuals who are in or approaching the retirement years.
Known for his witticisms, Carl says there are two questions one must answer when considering retirement, “Do I have enough?”, and “Have I had enough?” Carl brings the expertise to help you prepare for retirement and the experience to see you through.
Carl is a gifted teacher who simplifies complex concepts so they are easily understood and become useful to clients. The firm has been built on these guiding philosophies:
The key to any client relationship is trust. A client’s best interest is always foremost; therefore, we will do things well and we will do things right.
No decision is ever better than the alternatives considered. Independence often allows more appropriate solutions that meet your specific needs to be considered.
When possible, learn from someone else’s tuition payment. You benefit from the experience we’ve gained helping others over the years.
“It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble, it’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so” – Mark Twain. Carl is committed to bringing the most up-to-date and relevant solutions for your consideration. Known as a life-long learner, Carl invests heavily in keeping current. He uses a practice coach, his professional study group and a client advisory board to continually hone his skills.
Carl and his wife, Linda, were married in 1971. They have three grown sons, all of whom are married. Carl and Linda are both active members of Westover Church where Carl is an elder and has served as chairman of the finance committee, and chairman of the board.
