Jim’s mission is to assist individuals, families, and businesses in making well-informed financial decisions in achievement of their financial goals. Jim takes a holistic, comprehensive, and educational approach to working with his clients.

Jim is a CFP® professional and his credentials include FINRA securities registrations series 7 and 66 along with life, health and long-term care licenses.

Jim has earned the Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Duke University. He earned his MBA from East Carolina University and holds a BS degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University.

Jim is a US Navy Veteran of the Nuclear Submarine Force. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Jim, and his wife Elaine moved to Greenville, NC from Morgantown, WV in 1991 and later moved to Cary in 2002. They have raised two daughters in NC and have two grandchildren.

Jim is the Past Chairman of the Town of Cary Public Art Advisory Board. As a former chef, he enjoys cooking and baking, travel, football, and exercising.
