Lynn Funk is a native of Galax, VA. She attended Bluefield College in Bluefield, VA, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in December 1994. She began her start in the financial business as an office assistant in June 1995 with Wheat First Butcher Singer. Lynn then furthered her career to Administrative Assistant, working alongside an advisor for an additional 9 years. In June 2004, after obtaining her Series 7, 63, 66 and Life/Health licenses, she stepped out on her own as an Advisor and started a joint business partnership with Christopher R. Porter. Currently, Chris and Lynn have been business partners for close to 20 years.

Lynn currently holds the ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), CAP (Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy), and CKA (Certified Kingdom Advisor) designations. The CKA designation is a distinct award obtained through Kingdom Advisors, Inc. This designation is awarded to professionals who have demonstrated themselves to be believers in Jesus Christ, able to apply biblical wisdom in their counsel, are technically competent in their chosen profession, have high ethics and integrity, and are biblical stewards in their personal and professional life.

Lynn has been married to the love of her life, Jody, for almost 30 years. They have twin adult children, Austin and Kayleigh, and a beautiful red-headed daughter-in-law, Shae. Austin Proudly added her to the family July 2022. Outside of work, Lynn enjoys swimming, attending church at Christ Chapel in Galax, VA, playing games, and traveling. More than anything, she loves spending time with family and friends. Her Life Motto is: “Live for the Lord, Laugh as often as Possible, and Love others like Christ loves us.”
